Jan 01,  · IMHO Blondie's finest, featuring a wide spectrum of music styles from power pop (Dreaming) to white soul (Slow Motion), reggae (Die Young Stay Pretty) to lullaby (Sound Asleep), as well as the obligatory disco number (Atomic)/5().

Eat to the Beat is still my favorite Blondie album for the first four songs: Dreaming, The Hardest Part, Union City Blue, and, of course, Shayla. Atomic is also a favorite on the album. Sound-a-Sleep isn't a bad song, just slow, and not really what I would consider a song I enjoy listening to. Victor comes in after Sound-a-Sleep, however/5(9).

Still, some less-inspired Disco/rock numbers such as "Atomic" and "The Hardest Part" can't hide the fact that "Dreaming" is a great pop song and the album still stands strong.
