Saint James Infirmary. Davis, T - Alfred Publishing Co., Inc. Click to review. Publisher Desc. Down-home and bluesy, slow and greasy! This outstanding chart blends a New Orleans-style slow swing and contemporary harmonies. The best of both worlds comes alive within the creative mind of arranger Tom Davis. Your young band students will love.

According to the Saint James Infirmary Songfacts, the song is based on an old English tune, "The Unfortunate Rake," that made its way over to America. The song's title is derived from St. James Hospital in London, a religious foundation for the treatment of leprosy. It was closed in when Henry VIII acquired the land to build St. James Palace.

St. James Infirmary Moffett Blvd., Mountain View (/) Beer and barbecue, nectar and manna. More than flavors of one and not enough words in Ro get's to praise the other. Quirky place, this, with big-screen TV, pool tables and extraordinary junk hanging from the ceiling.
